Head Coach Reed Fuller

Reed Fuller became the second Head Coach in Nebraska Hockey history at the start of the 2022-2023 season and had previously served as an Assistant Coach during all, or parts of every season dating back to 2012-2013. He becomes the first former Husker Hockey player to serve as the team’s Head Coach.

Before joining the coaching staff at Nebraska, Coach Fuller was a 4-year member of the Husker Hockey program (2007-2011) playing both forward and defense for the Big Red. He served as a team captain in three of his four full seasons as well as representing the club as Team President his Junior year. During the 2009-2012 season, Coach Fuller helped lead the Huskers to their first ever ACHA post-season berth as they qualified for the Pacific Regional Tournament held in Las Vegas, NV. This marked the beginning of the program’s ongoing streak of consecutive ACHA post-season appearances (2010-present). He has helped coach and develop multiple All-League, All-Region, and All-American players during his career behind the bench at Nebraska.

A Lincoln native, Coach Fuller grew up playing hockey in the Lincoln Ice Hockey Association before enjoying a Junior Hockey career that took him to several stops across North America. He is a Level 4 Certified Coach through USA Hockey. Aside from being behind the bench for the Huskers, he also volunteers his time to help coach and develop youth hockey players in the Lincoln Ice Hockey Association.

Coach Fuller graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He and his wife Michelle reside in Lincoln, and have a daughter (Sophia) and son (Charles).
